Hello BHS Wrestling Family!

Week one of practice is in the books and it was a hectic week!  We set up the wrestling room, took care of team pictures and completed the freshman and junior varsity hydration.  Even with all of the distractions we had a great first week of practice.  Please continue to check the team schedule for practice times and important events.  Below is some useful information for the week:

**Tuesday is our "Go Fund Me" Fundraiser in the wrestling gym from 3:45-4:45 and your wrestler should bring his contact sheet, phone and computer to the wrestling gym that day

** Thursday night is code night in the student cafeteria and a parent MUST attend in order for your son to be able to comete this year. There will also be a freshman parent meeting to catch freshman parents     up to speed for the year. The meeting begins at 6:45 PM and dinner is provided for the wrestlers.

**  Hydration testing is on Thursday for the varsity and for anyone who has not passed the hydration test on Saturday.

** Friday and Saturday are wrestle offs in the wrestling gym and are closed to the public.

Hello Barrington Wrestling Family!!!

Wrestling  season is finally here!  And with that, we have a ton of information to pass on.  Each week I will be sending out a weekly blast regarding information for the upcoming week.  I will aim to get this blast out each Sunday so you are "in the know" for the week.  Please be sure to check your email each Sunday so you are aware of the week's happenings.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED CAN BE FOUND AT BHSWRESTLING.ORG.  I will not send out practice days and times (unless there is a change) in the weekly update because our schedule can be found on BHSwrestling.org under the "Schedule" tab.  You then go to "team calendar"  at the top of the BHSwrestling page and you will find practice and meet times. We will not be sending home printed schedules this year, so please check the calendar for times and locations.

If you miss the weekly blast email for some reason it can be found on BHSwrestling.org under the "Announcements" tab (after "announcements" click on "weekly updates").

Overall, please go to BHSwrestling.org for ALL  wrestling information this year!!!

The practice and meet schedule is current on the website, but below are some important dates and useful information:

Upcoming dates

November 21st is also Alumni Night so please stop by the meet if you are an alumnus to be recongnized! The meet starts at 6P.M. and alumni will be introduced between the first and second duals.  Spread the word!!!

Useful Information

Please email me or Coach Hoving during the day if your wrestler will be missing practice that day.  Wrestlers should not excuse themselves from practice and they should NEVER tell a coach that another wrestler is missing pracitce.  That is the job of the parent!

We are asking for a $50 donation from all sophomore, junior and senior wrestlers. The donation will get your wrestler four, BHS Wrestling tee shirts (including this year's wrestling team shirt) and a pair of BHS Wrestling shorts (to be worn as a team at meets).  This is the best deal in town for gear and the rest of the donation will go towards program incidentals.

We are asking for a $100 donation from freshman wrestlers. The donation will get your wrestler four BHS Wrestling tee shirts, (inlcluding this year's wrestling team shirt) a pair of BHS Wrestling shorts, and a pair of freshman sweat pants and hoodie which is used for the freshman warmup.

Please block off 11/23/ and 11/24 to volunteer at our annual Moore Prettyman Thanksgiving Tournament. This ia huge tournament and we need EVERYONE to volunteer for a shift or two for this tournament.  Your service is much appreciated and we will have sign up directions soon!

Please check the last update that was sent earlier this week...if your son's name is on that list he is eligible to begin practice tomorrow (11/5/18). If not, it means he needs an updated physical OR he needs to complete the wrestling interest survey in HIS Infinite Campus portal.

That's all for now, but we will have much more useful information next blast!

Attention BHS Wrestling Family!

Last week we hit double digits with weightlifting and open mats attendance. Keep bringing out your team mates, friends, and anyone not involved in a fall sport!  Additionally, we had ten wrestlers volunteer to pack food at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg. Way to help others, boys!

Here is what is in store for the week:

Tuesday/Thursday: Weight lifting after school in the BHS Weight Room...no experience necessary

Wednesday: Open mats after school in the BHS Wrestling Gym
