Hello BHS wrestling families
It was an exciting day yesterday for our varsity team.  As one mom (AW) said so perfectly.... "we are proud of every single kid on the team.  There were many boys there today, but none of them have the heart and dedication that our boys do... every one of them is a winner!"  Those 14 boys were all winners yesterday.  Congrats!
As a team, we placed 2nd overall in Regionals.  Way to go!
The top 3 in each weight class will move on to wrestle next week at sectionals at BHS.
We had 4 wrestlers as regional winners in their weight class-
Kaleb Pratt, Ryan Dorn, Rhenzo Augusto and Silas Oberholtzer.
Our sectional qualifiers are
Kaleb Pratt- 1st place at 106 lbs
Saul Ramirez- 3rd place at 113 lbs
Ryan Dorn- 1st place  at 120 lbs
Jimmy Whitaker- 2nd place at 126 lbs
Daniel Blanke- 2nd place at 132 lbs
Brennan O'Donnell- 3rd place at 138 lbs
Brady Wright- 3rd place at 144 lbs
Rhenzo Augusto- 1st place at 150 lbs
Silas Oberholtzer- 1st place at 157 lbs
Ayden Salley- 2nd place at 190 lbs
Clarence Jackson- 2nd place at 285 lbs.
Schedule for the week-
Monday-Thursday- practice for ALL wrestlers
Friday- during school all wrestlers need to come to the gym during their PE and open periods to set up mats
Friday and Saturday- sectionals at BHS
all wrestlers that aren't wrestling are expected to help work
Coach will give more details on timing later this week
Speaking of sectionals.... We still have many slots to fill.   With 11 varsity wrestlers qualifying, we NEED some help from JV and freshmen parents so that the varsity parents can be there to watch their son wrestle.
Thank you to everyone that has already volunteered... it so very appreciated.
Here is the link again.
Middle school and high school students can get volunteer hours so sign those younger kids up!!
Reminder... if you are signed up to volunteer, go to the pass gate table when you arrive and give them your name so that you don't have to pay the day of volunteering.  Another perk!!!
We will be having a Mat Club Meeting on Tuesday Feb 6 at 7 PM.  This will be held at BHS for all that can attend in person.  Come to door 45 (main entrance) and we will meet in Coach Hoving's conference room.  We will also have it available virtually.

Mark your calendars for Sunday March 17 at the Onion Pub for our year end banquet.  Time will be midday.   More details to come...
Have a great week!
